Book Review

A Book Review by Jud Waldrop of   Who Sang the First Song?   By Ellie Holcomb

Published by B&H Publishing Group, Nashville, Tennessee. 2018.

first song

This children’s book is a fantastic presentation of biblical truth without overloading the reader/parent with Scripture.  Though at first I thought that the absence of Scripture was a mistake, now I see the work as a non threatening introductory revelation of creation truth.  My hope would be that the reader/parent would further seek the Creator through the reading of Scripture.  I wish the author would have included, at least in a postlude fashion, some Scriptural references to assist the reader/parent in that quest would be helpful.  The illustrations by Kayla Harren are excellent and attention grabbing for adults as well as children.

This book would be a great addition to any family’s collection.  I highly recommend this book.

Book Review

A book review by Jud and Donna Waldrop of  Afraid Of All The Things: Tornadoes, Cancer, Adoption, and Other Stuff You Need the Gospel For  by Scarlett Hiltibidal

Published by B&H Publishing Group Nashville, Tennessee, 2019

Great Read!  She tells her story in a way that holds your attention. She shares her fears in a way that most can relate. I enjoyed reading the entire book. I like most that she shares the gospel all throughout the book. She is vulnerable, honest and real.   It is easy to read and very timely.  I strongly recommend this book.
